Relax

Today was another lesson in learning to relax. One might think that I would take the chance to actually sit around in the hospital as a way to escape the high pace routine of daily life. However, it has been quite the opposite. But, for now, I am learning to slow down and relax.

The rat race of life is probably the greatest asset of the devil. He has the ability to use seemingly noble activities to distract us from our relationship and dependency on Christ. By doing so, he is able to distance our connection with Christ and increasingly make us dependent on ourselves for sustenance in this world.

Clearly, we are to place our trust in God rather than ourselves. As you find time to read this post, my request is simple. Please take time to take a deep breath and acknowledge your dependence on Christ. If you have drifted from a daily dependency on Him, take the time necessary to reconnect. And then, relax. It will be the best decision of your life.
