Motivation
I must start by saying that I do not always feel like posting a daily blog. With that said, I’m committed to do so because of the feedback I have received through various comments and texts. Without promising that every post will be unique or little more than an update on my day, I will attempt to post something each day. Thanks for the motivation.
As my white count and hemoglobin numbers decline, I find that I am routinely more tired. Doctors tell me this is to be expected. Thus far, I have avoided the need for any transfusions. Having a blood transfusion is rather normal and does not indicate that anything is wrong. However, to this point, it hasn’t been needed. Although, they assure me that I would feel better if I did receive one. I’m just not at the threshold for getting one yet. So, I will continue OT get in my steps early and then rest in the afternoon.
Spiritually, I find this to match my personal rhythm. Many people have their spiritual time in the evenings as they unwind before bed. I tend to fall asleep immediately which would defeat the purpose. The mornings, though, are my time. I have enjoyed seeing the sunrise from the time I was in high school. For me, there is something special about being awake as the rest of the world comes to life each morning. It provides me time to spend with God, organizing my thoughts, and preparing myself for the day ahead.
Whether you are a morning person or a night owl, I do encourage you to take time each day to spend concentrated on God. What is it that He wants for you? What is He doing in your life that you need to be mindful of? Remember that He is not in the storm, but the whisper. You will find Him when you seek Him.
”Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find, knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.” Matt 7:7-8
